    Chart

    Definition · applies to visualizations

    Elementary

A chart is a picture that presents information.

    Examples

    Examples

    • A pie chart Elementary
    • A scatter plot of height vs. weight Elementary

    Notes

A chart does not need coordinates: a pie chart has none. In differential geometry, a “chart” is something else entirely: a coordinate map on part of a manifold.
